The People's Voting Initiative

United Peoples Coalition believes in voice: a collective voice. As it stands right now voting is that collective voice for the state of this country, and things in our daily lives that's affected by it. As we build the communities of tomorrow, today, let's use our voices to let people know what it is we care about.


Election Info

To find out who is on your ballot, wherever you are, you can go to Vote411.org and see where these politicians stand.

Enter your address to see what's on your ballot and check your registration, or check out voting information by state for key details on things like drop boxes.


Valid Identification

It's important to be sure you have valid ID:

  • Texas drivers license

  • Texas election identification card

  • Texas personal identification card

  • Texas license to carry a handgun

  • U.S military ID

  • U.S citizenship certificate

  • U.S Passport

if you don't have any of those, these forms of ID are also acceptable:

  • Certified birth certificate (copy or original)

  • Bank statement (copy or original)

  • Government check (copy or original)

  • Original paycheck (copy or original)

  • Government document with your name and address

Absentee/Mail-in Voting

To qualify for a mail-in ballot in Texas, voters must be:

  • away from their county of residence on Election Day and during the early-voting period

  • sick or disabled

  • confined in jail but otherwise eligible to vote

  • 65 years old or more

The last day to apply for an Absentee Ballot is Oct. 23; Absentee ballots may be turned-in in person at any time as long as it's received by 7 p.m. on Election Day. Absentee ballots that are mailed in must be postmarked by Election Day.

In Tarrant County, absentee ballots can be dropped off in person at:

Ballots may be hand-delivered during regular business hours. It may also be hand-delivered on Election Day between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. You may only hand-deliver your own envelope and not for another individual and you must bring ID.

Every county offers early voting between Oct. 13-30, but they do not all have the same hours of availability. Schedules for Collin, Dallas, Denton, and Tarrant counties are listed below, and check the links for other North Texas counties.


Collin

Oct. 13-16: 8AM to 5PM

Oct. 17: 7AM to 7PM

Oct. 18: 1PM to 6PM

Oct. 19-24: 7AM to 7PM

Oct. 25: 1PM to 6PM

Oct. 26-30: 7AM to 7PM

On Election Day, polling locations will be open from 7AM to 7PM
